Five Minute Friday: Slow
I don't often move with a sense of urgency. I am reflective and somewhat cautious. I have always been this way, and honestly it's one of the things I love about myself. My slow and easy pace.
Five Minute Friday: Safe
Joining Five Minute Friday today and sharing how being safe can be a hindrance.
Five Minute Friday: Breathe
It's Sunday afternoon, and I am finally sitting down to write the latest Five Minute Friday post. This is partially because I've been holding my breath since Thursday. Trying to be patient, but not really. Questioning everything I thought I knew. Wondering. Not breathing.
Finding Joy in the Chaos
Over the past few years, there has been many chaotic moments which have taken over the news cycle. From unnecessary deaths to shifts in the political realm, Many of these moments don't directly affect us meaning they aren't necessarily on our doorsteps, but most of them have an indirect impact on our thoughts, perspectives, and emotions.
Making Intentional Connections
This desire for community was apparent within my family, my friendships, and even those I had the opportunity to work with, but it seemed like I was came up short. I questioned myself often about whether I was giving off some strange vibe or if I wasn't fully open enough.
Five Minute Friday: Refine
Motherhood often reveals the areas within me that must be refined.
Five Minute Friday: Connect

Connecting is hard; disconnecting is harder.
Making Time for YOUR Passions
Pursuing my passions doesn't end because I am a homeschooling mom, and pursuing yours shouldn't end either. I've found that being intentional gives me room to do the things that bring me joy like writing, designing, and creating.
One Word 2017- Embrace
Have you chose your word for 2017? My words generally choose me. Embrace was no different, and I am looking forward to how I will embrace all parts of myself in 2017.
Reflecting About Joy in the Ordinary + What It Means for YOU
I never really intended to be a "blogger", but as 2016 began it was brought to my attention that I desired to do more as a writer which caused me to work more diligently on my blog.
A Year of Gratitude- Reflecting on 2016
Reflecting on 2016, and all that I am grateful for including family, friends, and opportunities.
NKJV Study Bible- Review
It's been a little over four years since I started reading the Bible regularly. I have always been a NIV fan because of the writing style, but when the NKJV Study Bible became available for review through BookLookBloggers.com I knew it was time to get out of my comfort zone and give the NKJV a try since I really needed a Study Bible. It didn't hurt that the Bible is my favorite color, teal.
