Reflecting About Joy in the Ordinary + What It Means for YOU
The end of the year is all about reflections, right?
I've been thinking quite a bit about what I want for this space and what the Father wants me to do with this space.
I never really intended to be a "blogger", but as 2016 began it was brought to my attention that I desired to do more as a writer which caused me to work more diligently on my blog. The starting point of this change was renaming the site to Joy in the Ordinary. This simple change was a catalyst for me to become more focused and intentional. Not only did making this change provide me with writing opportunities, I also learned that I could blog and be true to myself while earning some income. Making the choice to earn an income was scary for me because I feared income making would overtake to the blog. I am glad to report that didn't happen. :)
Now as 2016 is coming to close, and I feel a bit more confident as a blogger, I needed to decide what I really wanted to do in this space.
I've decided that I am going to do what you guys want me to do. I reviewed the surveys that were completed and learned that many of you enjoy the homeschooling and encouragement posts the most so that is what you will continue to find on Joy in the Ordinary. It is my goal to share bi-weekly reflections of what is working and what isn't in our homeschool along with regular curriculum reviews. I am no longer a part of the Review Crew, but I am reaching out to curriculum companies so that I can continue to share products with you all. I will continue to share our stories as a hope to encourage you on your journey, wherever you are on YOUR journey.
Many of you also mentioned seeing more video so check out this video to learn more about how I video will fit on the blog.
