A Change of Scenery
Early in 2015, we experienced a grand change of scenery. Most of our days are filled with something new. Something we wouldn't have experienced if we had not changed our scenery. Well, we aren't moving again. This the girls are happy about. :)
Reflections :: My Top Five of 2015
2015 has treated my family and I well. I can't say that everything was perfect, but I can say I appreciated the good along with the not so great. Any time when growth is noticeable, I can't help but to rejoice.
On My Bookshelf:: Money Making Mom by Crystal Paine
As you know, I am a creative entrepreneur so when Crystal Paine from latest book, Money-Making Mom: How Every Woman Can Earn More and Make a Difference, was an option to review I decided this just may be a good book for me to review. Money Making Mom shares tidbits of Crystal's stories alongside other women entrepreneur stories. The goal of the book is to encourage women not solely mothers to move forward in creating their own income sources through creative business outlets including blogging, designing, and offering needed services. Before I go any further, this book is not a how to blogor get rich quick book. This book truly is a source of encouragement coupled with guidance on the beginning stages of starting a business.
H is for Home
As the year winds down, I can't help but to reflect on our adventures this year. Our big adventure involved us uprooting to anew town which we knew nothing about because we had never visited before or heard of it in random conversation. Our first visit included us and all of our belongings.
G is for Grace
Grace has taken over. It has caused me to stop and think about what it really means. I didn't intentionally seek to learn more about grace, but here recently it comes up in many conversations. It is hard to have a conversation about something that you haven't taken the time to learn about for yourself. I have taken the challenge to learn more about the grace which is freely given.
Taking It Slow in the Busy Season
The holidays typically remind me of busyness. Everyone is planning and gathering for the festivities that will take place over the next month or so. There is also the hustle and bustle of trying to make wonderful memories with family from getting the holiday snapshots in to dedicating time for the things in which time is not normally available. Not to mention this season also includes the ending of another year which can bring on the feelings and desire to squeeze in a few last minute goals.
E is for Eva
She's been a part of our family for nearly five years. It wasn't in our plans to add a dog to our family. We met Eva at PetSmart while picking up a container for a butterfly chrysalis. The girls asked if we could look at the cats and dogs a local shelter had brought in for adoption. We went to "look" at the dogs, and a little voice said, "Eva needs a family, Mommy." That's the story of how we became a dog family.

Hey, y'all! It is my hope and prayer that each of you are in good health and spirit. Since it is that time of the year where we focus on the blessings whether good or bad, I thought it was only fitting to share a few things which I am grateful for today.
A Few Thoughts About Halloween
Our family doesn't celebrate Halloween. As the girls have gotten older, I thought it would be more difficult for us to go against the grain since many of this yearly celebrations are so ingrained in our culture.
