One Full School Year of Online Teaching through Outschool

Last February, I begin teaching online on a whim. I wasn't sure what to expect since I had never taught online, and the last time I put myself in a classroom situation, it wasn't the greatest experience. Honestly, my last public teaching experience made me feel like I would never teach again, and after years of teaching at a local co-op and coming to the conclusion it wasn't my most favorite way to teach either mostly because of class size, I began to wonder if teaching would indeed be a part of my life outside of homeschooling.  Now one year later with Outschool, I can happily say that teaching is definitely a part of my life, and I enjoy it.

A Week in My Life: Strep Throat as an Adult

This week has been a memorable one for me.  I've had some good things happen, but they were all clouded by my bout with Strep Throat.  Guys, Strep is no joke as an adult. My husband shared with me today that some people have lost limbs because of the infection.  I've experienced Strep a few times in my life, but it's been nearly 15 years since I've dealt with the infection. I don't remember feeling horrible for so long. I don't feel 100%, but I am on the mend.
