Six Tips for Incorporating Planning into Your Life Today
How does planning work when you don't want to be a planner? In order for planning to be a success for me, I had to be honest about my reasons for needing a planner. My top reason is I simply can't remember it all. The girls are getting older, and they have their own interests. In order for me to not over-schedule our lives, I have to be able to see what is happening in the weeks to come. Another thing is I am giving myself freedom to do the things I desire to do. Although my family, marriage, and teaching the girls come first, I still have tons of ideas that I would like to attempt. I can't invest in these things if I don't have a system set up because honestly there is only so much time in a day.
Reflecting :: There's Not Enough Time
Lately, I have been struggling with time management. The number of things vying for my attention can be overwhelming. From the dozens of ideas running through my mind daily to wanting to utilize every gift the Father has blessed me to possess, and I can't forget the responsibilities I have as a person, wife, and mother.
Three on Thursday: Anticipating
Anticipation is in the are this Thursday. I try not to focus to much on the future, but there are times when I am eagerly looking forward to things in my life. Sometimes anticipation helps me to get out of a funk like this week. There was no way I could have known Daylight Savings Time would have such an effect on me, but it did. Thankfully, there were are few things that I could look forward to which helped me to make it through each day. Three days later and now I am feeling more like myself.
Celebrating 13 Years ...
Our marriage has been an example of His ways and thoughts being higher than ours. I know for certain that we had not the slightest idea of how He would work in our marriage and our lives. At 20 and 21, our faith was lukewarm. We lacked knowledge. We didn't have examples of lifelong, healthy marriages. So to be here today, I know that is only by God's hands.
Three on Thursday: Happy Feelings
When I started thinking about this week's Three on Thursday, the lyrics to Maze featuring Frankie Beverly's Happy Feelings began to play in my mind. I knew that was a sign that this week's would be all about the things that are making me smile.

I appreciate the slowness of our days this week. We've been able to hone in while relaxing. We've been able to be without the hustle and bustle. This is surely a blessing.
Joy in Apartment Living
Have you learned things about yourself that you had no idea existed until you've tried something over and over again? Well, that's me and the way I feel about apartment living. Before marrying I lived in an apartment. After I moved to be with my husband, we lived in a duplex. We made a cross country move and lived in an apartment. While in the Midwest, we were bitten by the "buy an house" bug. For that season it was okay, but now that it is over I am content to be back to apartment living.
Getting the Morning Started with Nature Valley
Through and through, I am a morning person. It is my favorite time of day. I don't know if it's because it reminds me of a fresh start or because I have the most energy in the morning, but what I do know is that my day wouldn't go as well with a few key ingredients.

On My Bookshelf: Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook
Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook is compiled of over 350 recipes. I chose to add this cookbook to my bookshelf because we were in need of a few new recipes to our meal rotations. When you have a picky eater and few people with sensitive digestive systems, it can become difficult finding meal options that meet the needs of the entire family.
