Thoughts About Being a Young, Black Home School Mom

When we began our home school journey, I was in my late 20s.  I hadn't considered home educating my daughters much until I started home educating them.  Luckily, I have a very supportive husband who doesn't mind my go with the flow ways.

Choosing to home educate definitely made us a minority among our friends, but we were already a minority because many of our friends were childless or didn't have stay a mom who stayed home.  Home schooling for us was a natural transitioning in our family since I was already home for the most part.

Today I am reflecting about our earlier years of home educating.  The years where I was a bit younger.  If you are considering home schooling, please take a moment to watch the video about my story of being a young, Black mom.  I hope that you will find it encouraging as you embark on your new journey.   If you already home school, please take a moment to watch the video to learn a little bit more about my home schooling journey.
