Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at ICE! 2016
Did you read about the ICE! adventure of 2015? You can read it here, ICE! The Nutcracker .
Each year ICE! has a theme, and if you read the title you can probably guess what this year's theme was all about ... Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. ICE! tells the story of Rudolph through the use of ice sculptures. In order to keep the sculptures frozen, the exhibit runs at the high temperature of 9 degrees Fahrenheit.
If you read the 2015 post, you know that we weren't prepared too well. This year we came with layers upon layers to keep us from feeling the urge to flee. 9 degrees is really cold.
Our family isn't really traditional when it comes to celebrating Christmas. We don't tend to catch the television specials of all the Christmas classics which made the story of Rudolph at ICE! special.
The exhibit has placards with text from the story which allowed us to read it as we went through the exhibit.
The ice sculptures at ICE! are remarkable. The craftsmanship is so amazing, and I enjoy attending simply to see the artwork.
Have you attended ICE!? What is your favorite outing during winter?
