NIV Holy Bible Journal Edition for Girls Pink- Review
For as long as I can remember, I have read the NIV version of the Bible. It was the version that I felt most comfortable reading when I began studying the Bible for myself. I was excited when there was a Journal Edition available in one of the recent review releases from BookLookBloggers.com. I've considered Bible journaling, but I knew I wouldn't be able to journal in my regular Bible because I don't want to be distracted by the artwork.
The NIV Holy Bible Journal Edition Pink is very girly. I didn't realize that it was a journal Bible for girls until I received it. The hardcover has a pink base with a floral design. There are hints of metallic pink. One thing I like about this Bible is the elastic enclosure that keeps the Bible closed when it is not in use. I really, really like those bands on Bibles, notebooks, and planners. There is also a pink ribbon bookmark attached to the Bible to help you keep your place.
The Journal Edition Bible has smaller print and lined margins for journaling. You will also find the Bible is a "how to use your Bible" page which suggests different ways to journal within the Bible. The pages are not very thick therefore I do not believe this particular Bible was designed for Bible journaling with inks and paints, but instead it is designed to write your thoughts about the Scriptures and what you have gleaned from them using a regular pen and pencil.
We use NIV Holy Bible Journal for our morning devotionals. It's bright cover and girlish style adds a bit of pizzazz when we gather around the Word together. I look forward to when one of the girls decide to use it for recording their thoughts as they continue to grow in their relationship with the Father.
I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers <http://booklookbloggers.com> book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review.
