Whatever...

As many of you may know, Philippians 4:8 is one of my favorite scriptures.  It really does keep me grounded.  There are times I find myself letting life get the best of me, and in turn my mind begins to focus on all things negative.  Luckily, I have His words instilled in me so I don't tend to sit in "doomsland" for long, but I really don't like going there.

On one of the days I was feeling low, I began to stamp His words out.  I finally created a few pieces that serve as constant reminders that His "whatever" is far more powerful than the one I was used to as a teenager.  You know the whatever as in "I don't care".  His "whatever" sets me on course of being content and focusing on those things that are excellent and praiseworthy.

Here are the pieces I finished yesterday:


"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." Philippians 4:8

"I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." Philippians 4:11-12
