Three on Thursday: Anticipating

Anticipation is in the are this Thursday.  I try not to focus to much on the future, but there are times when I am eagerly looking forward to things in my life.  Sometimes anticipation helps me to get out of a funk like this week.  There was no way I could have known Daylight Savings Time would have such an effect on me, but it did.  Thankfully, there were are few things that I could look forward to which helped me to make it through each day.  Three days later and now I am feeling more like myself.

  •  The girls will have overnight visitors.  It's there first time since we moved here since they have had friends spend the entire day and night with them.  These visitors aren't just any friends, but they are two of their closest friends from our previous city.  M & M visits have truly been a blessing to us because as you all may know moving is hard.  It's hard to leave everything you know even when you know for certain it is time.  It's hard to leave people that you care about because there isn't a guarantee that you will see them again.  It was this time last year when we saw them for the first time in our new surroundings. Both of our families met a Teach Them Diligently.  This year I won't attend, but will instead hang out with the girls so they can make the most of their time together.  We are anticipating seeing them in a few hours and are grateful that they have made it a point to visit us whenever they are in the area.

When they came to visit in the fall ...

  • More visitors.  My cousin who is more like a sister will arrive tomorrow after M & M leave.  She'll be here for the weekend which is nice.  It's been awhile since she has visited us.  The girls have no idea she and her son will be joining us.  I told them about M & M because a double surprise might cause them to pass out. :)  The only thing we have planned so far is going to see Zootopia.   The girls have mentioned wanting to see it, and I thought the previews were funny so I am looking forward to seeing it too.

I love coloring.  I colored this page while I sat on the porch taking in the sun.

  • Spring.  Do I need to say more?  After fall, spring is my second favorite season.  I love to see the colors come alive.  Daylight Savings Time is a reminder that spring is on the way even though it may me feel like I had been bopped on the head.  The sunshine and birds chirping made it a little bit easier to get through which is why I am fond of springtime.

What are you anticipating?
