We received the 12 month program to review.

VeritasBible.com is completely online.  The program is best used on a desktop or laptop computer due to the screen resolution requirements.  We attempted to use it on a tablet, but it was not having it. JAlthough my youngest daughter made the choice to review VeritasBible.com,  I also set up an account for my oldest daughter to use.  Each of my daughters was able to create their own avatar for the program.  I appreciate the diversity that VeritasBible.com includes in the process.  Setting up VeritasBible.com is really easy.  They both sign in under the same email and password, and simply select their account to work through the biblical paths.  The program is written for students to use independently.

The program is divided into three sections:  Genesis to Joshua, The Gospels, and Judges to Kings.    VeritasBible.com includes a variety media within the program.  There are videos which have actors, actresses, and cartoon characters sharing about the Bible in a way that is easy to understand.  The videos are short and clear and do not run for more than 90 seconds.  The cartoon character seems to serve the purpose of asking the questions that children may have about the stories presented in the Bible.   There are often multiple choice questions to follow the videos to help check for understanding. Each lesson begins with review of previous learned material. These questions are not multiple choice questions, but instead challenge the user to put events or Scripture in the correct sequence.

Neither of my daughters is completely finished with the program, and I am sure we will continue to use it as a resource in our upcoming school year.  I believe it is a good resource to help with understanding the concepts of the Bible for those who are new to studying the Bible, and I think it is an equally good resource for reviewing the Bible for those who have been studying and learning the Word for many years.  The program is engaging, but it doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles.  It really is a resource for solidifying the Word in the hearts of children.
