Last summer, I was informed of the new book that would be released from the (in)courage community.  I was excited because I have been a part of the (in)courage community on and off for the past six years.  When I need encouragement or simply want to read some great articles by some real women,  I go to (in)courage.

Craving Connection takes the heart of the (in)courage online community in places it beautifully in a hardcover book.  The purpose of Craving Connection is to get us to engage wholeheartedly with the world around us and the Spirit within us.

Craving Connection is divided into three sections: Connecting with God More Deeply, Connecting with Friends More Purposefully, and Connecting with Community More Intentionally.  Each section is then composed of ten essays written by a different (in)courage writer such as Kate Motaung and Deidra Riggs.  The essays are introduced by a Scripture that relates to the article, a thought to consider, and simple way to engage intentionally with yourself or others.

At the end of each essay in Craving Connection, there are three connection questions.  These are good questions to consider when journaling or having some quiet time.  An example question is, "What is it about God's love that gives you an "I can't even" moment?"  Not only are there three questions to round out each essay, but there is also a prayer and a connection challenge.  The connection challenge pushes the engage prompt at the beginning of the essay a bit further.  It is specific direction to help make the engage prompt a reality.

Craving Connection is a book that helps to the embrace the life that you are currently living.  It isn't asking you to look back to try to correct past wrongs or look forward to make tomorrow terrific, but instead it challenges you to look in the present to make today count.

With the launch of the new Craving Connection, (in)courage and DaySpring have line of inspirational products that are the perfect gifts for those you are making connections with such as the Share-One Wear-One Necklace Sets and the Clip Frame and Art Print set.
